That takes me back Goldeneye in the N64, What a game!(I used to love playing the Frigate level in paintball mode) and that console had 4 control ports, did I hear right that the guys that did Goldeneye are doing BF3? or was it some other game.

anyway
i went to see casino royale this morning, its a good film
forget all you know of the other bond films,as this is a very different bond...more in the style of the bourne identity...no one liners(well, there are a few)...and no Q or R to supply the gadgets
the quicker you get to realise that this bond, does not have the boyish good looks of roger moore,or the handsome looks of sean connery(is this me coming out?)....hes gritty and can also be a bit of a tw*t
he makes a different bond, still a good one,but very different
the film is on for 2hrs 20 minutes....and yes,my arse is numb
if anyone doesnt know whats going on,the main story is that bond has to win a game of poker at the casino royale against the bad guy,the bad guy needs to win so that he can keep his finances going with terrorism...bond has to win because the money that he has is government money, and if he loses it,the government will practically be funding the terrorist...all so-so stuff..the card game is quite entertaining, but it is the action set pieces that keeps the film on a roll(and the cars)
very much...NOT like the book, only bits..but then i pressumed it was gonna be that way anyway
overall i give the film 4/5
as for daniel craig...now that the introduction is over, and we have a few 'details'(see film)over....the next bond should be even better
my bonds
sean connery
roger moore
daniel craig
pierce brosnan
timothy dalton
george lazenby
in my current frame of mind,i am thinking that maybe in a few more bonds, daniel craig, could top my list
anyway,i recommend it
oh by the way,can i just say how PISSED OFF i was when watching the opening credits...usually naked girls in some silly but perfectly acceptable poses, while the cast names get projected on her naked ti.......er....thighs, right?....not this time..damn!!

Of all the Bond's, Timothy Dalton did the least for me. On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my favorite of the Bond films. I love Diana Rigg and there was actually some character development amid the jokes and explosions. Lazenby was good, just very different from Connery and Moore. Connery, of course, IS James Bond.

After watching the film, it made me realise that its not just Bond that makes a Bond film, its the addons, its the Gadgets, the car chases, the one liners, and where these arent there is this film (they are, but not in the quantity we are used to), I felt I was watching a Diet Coke Bond, it was the same, but without those addons it didnt feel like the full package.
I will say go and see it, 3/5
Oh, yeah and Orph I see what you mean about the intro, I liked the scantly clad women intros, not because I am a red bloodied male because I always felt they were to be done tastefully, but again, its was just another thing that had been removed from the Bond package.

but again i think this was pretty damn good introduction to daniel craigs bond
boda....on her majestys secret service-i think it is a great bond story and cast.....it was just george lazenby....would of been interesting if sean connery did this one(i did like it when diana rigg ran away from him at the beggining of the film, and george lazenby looked at the camera and said 'this never happened to the other guy',LOL)

I totally agree on how the gadgets they used were very cheesy and
out of date which does make you laugh . Not even close to the cool
gadgets of now and the special effect that enhance them .

Best Bond? 1. Connery. 2. Moore. 3. Lazenby. 4. Dalton.
Best car? Aston Martin
I rhink I've seen all the movies based on the books more times than I count. The Brosnan movies were average at best though, IMO.

TRUE:-....i read casino royale last year, and they haven't really kept that much...the game, and a few names...oh and my favourite line from the book...which isnt ...bond,james bond(which i cant even remember in the book)is in there at the end...but thats about it
