ok,now look...my favourite film of all time,is raiders of the lost ark,and i love temple of doom and last crusade proberbly just as much...harrison ford is my favourite actor(along with clint eastwood),spielberg is my favourite director,john williams best music ever...and lucas...well...star wars !!!!

so,the film has been announced that it will be 2008 when it finally comes out...thats right,nearly 20 years since last crusade(yes sand dog,its been that long).....but is it really a good thing to bring back indy...he'll be old now,no disguising that,could it put a damper on the original 80s trilogy if it doesnt come out too great(no doubt spoiled because it has too many special effects)

i want a new indy film,but....what if its shit???...i dont think i could deal with that,i heard one of the supposed titles is indiana jones and the ravishes of time(maybe an explanation on harrisons age)...i also heard that at one point they were gonna look for noahs ark,LOL

but if indy is older,that means that it may not feature nazis hellbent on getting some religious artifact!!....and you gotta have nazis

anyway,tell me what you think,and maybe put my mind at rest and tell me that the film is gonna rock,i want this film to rock more than anything...but i am guessing if it is 2008,then they will proberbly go for summer 2008...so its already up against spiderman 3 and the dark knight(batman...er..begins 2)

I don't think it is a good idea even though I still think he is sexy as hell. Clint Eastwood tried to do the same thing with one of his westerns and it didn't do to well. He wasn't able to be the bad ass like he was in his younger years so it left me feeling kind of sad and disappointed in the film.

I'm also afraid they will butcher the film with too many special affects. I remember they had alot of effects back in the original one so I can see a chance for overkill on the new one. Hopefully I will be wrong and it will turn out to be a great movie.

When Lethal Weapon decided to make number 4 I thought, oh crap they are going to ruin a good thing but I was wrong. Jet Li and Chris Rock made it fresh and they pulled it off.

With such talented people behind the wheel, I think this one might turn out to be pretty good, it all depends on the writing. It's still a roll of the dice.

haha rook, your totally right! the movie has to have Nazis! i mean if were not getting Nazis in a Indy movie, then what r we paying for...

i feel as much as anything, kinda like rook pointed out with lethal weapon 4, it will depend on the cast. i am sure harison will be accompanied with some young go getter who will help out with some action scenes.

From what I know there will not be nazis in it. Look at Temple of Doom Ice there were no Nazis in it just crazy Indians and it was pretty damned good. I heard this one is going to be taking place during the Cold War and we're going to have Russians as the enemy. Just as long as Rocky doesn't show up and fight that Russian guy and shit.

Hard one to call really, I like Harrison ford but havn't seen him in anything lately which was any good. He's best known for his action roles as Indiana, Han solo and Jack Ryan(I think that was his name) trouble is his knocking on a bit now and would he be as convincing as the younger mr Ford that we are used to. There are a handfull of actors that have aged well and you still believe they could kick ass, Clint and probably Jack nicholson( just something about that guy that says mess with me and I will fill your face in for you) I hope it is a good film, but like others have said before me I'm sure it will be filled with computer generated effects, good or bad thing? don't know. But I have voted yes and have my fingers crossed for a good film.

I'll bet they give him a son and have him still be a main character but the son get's to do all the hard stuff and take all the hits. It's kind of cliche' but really, how fresh can they make it with HF getting on in years? He still rules though.

all good points on the above, I just feel that where Ford is getting on now (he has to be comfortably in his 60s) and it may not sell, it may just look like an old bloke getting himself in trouble. If he does have a son or a protege, it will feel like an easy cop out. I do hope they do a good job with film, but it just may not come across as believable. Indy is one of my favourite heros becuase he was always in over his head with the bad guys and always just managed to scrape thru and save the day (usually after a severe beating). If they do this I have a the feeling it will just look like a bumbling old bloke that just looks like an idiot

on the indiana jones subject,i heard that all the leading ladies from previous films were gonna make an appearance in this one(how Elsa from last crusade will feature i dont know,as last we saw of her she was falling into that large pit trying to get the holy grail)...oh and also a role for ally mcbeal(calista flockhart)

I really think its a bad Idea , it sounds like a more money scam because the first thing they will do is remake all the Indy movies and add more
effects to an already great film . I would like to see a new indy but
they should have started to make it a long time ago when everyone
was on the Harrison ford kick which we all are probably still on because
he is one of the greatest actors ever . I would go and see it but it really
depends on who is playing in it.

LOL,just a rumour,i dont think anyone except harrison ford has been cast yet

i dont even think sean connery has been cast(rumours that spielberg had fell out with him)...and also connery said after the disaster that was league of extraordinary men...he wasnt gonna do any more films

on checking IMDB...he is rumoured to be in it,if so,i hope the chemistry between ford and connery is just as good as last crusade
