What about the shining with jack nicholson, now that was very scary to me as a kiddo. I haven't seen that since then and now have it on dvd and am planning on watching it soon. Horror movies for me were definitley more scary as a kid from ages 8-14ish or so. Ones that stand out are any jason, nightmare on elm street, halloween, and of course stephen king ones rocked also. I can remember watching old black and white movies about mummies, dracula, and frankenstein around the age of like 8 or so and being scared shitless. I can remember a few other movies that freaked me out like the legend of sleepy hollow and the fall of the house of usher when I was a kid also.

War of the worlds orson wells was a good one and also hitchcocks the birds terrified me, well pretty much anything hitchcock in the black and white when I was young did.

Now that I am older I still love my horror/scary movies but they dont have the same effect on me now as when I was younger. The ones I like now would be the saw series, jeepers creepers were good ones especially the 1st, darkness falls, the mothman prophecies, anything stephen king, final destination movies, and also really liked rob zombies movies house of a thousand corpses and the sequel the devils rejects.

I have probably left many others movies out but that is what I could think of right off the top of my head.
Check out my zune card.

Well I don't like horror or gore movies. I also hat e the fact that they often combine Sci-fi and horror into the same category. I love one and hate the other... WHy do they do that?

I love to watch horror movies. They can be some of the best movies made. If done wrong though, they can turn into comedies (Jason X could possibly be the worst movie ever). Off the top of my head, I liked The Thing. They even turned that into a good video game sequel. Saw 1 & 2. Hostel - they dropped the ball on this one. If done right it would have been one of the best ever, IMO. I still like it though. Final Destination series. Alien scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Halloween 2 for sure.
Predator was cool. Not sure if it fits into this category though.
That's all I can think of for now

I wouldn't consider it scary, but I really liked that 'Nosferatu' German movie. That thing is the shiz IMO. Other than that probably Cheaper by the Dozen, Son of the Mask, and The Santa Clause.... just thinking about those movies makes me shiver. :o
