what is your favourite horror film?

maybe something from the classic 70s....like halloween, chainsaw massacre, the omen, the exorcist

or the 80s with the nightmares on elm st,friday the 13th,...or one of cher's films

the 90s with the teenage thing going as bit too far, like scream,i know what you did last summer, jeepers creepers

or the naughties with saw,the new chainsaw massacre,or some japanese horrors or their remakes

my favourite horror film is the original 'the haunting' from the 60s..really creepy

others that definetly make the list for me are the changeling with george c scott....the medium getting in touch with jacob, and the banging on the bath was cool

the omen, not seen the remake yet,but i absolutly love the original trilogy(not omen 4!!)

japanese horrors are my kind of thing as well, from the ring and the grudge to dark water...but the eye is one of my favourites

so.....name yours

Showgirls, hands down. I really don't care for "Scary movies" They are all just comedies anyway. Oh God I am running away, but he's still gonna catch me and kill me.

Now that is good for you isn't Aayla. We are not talking about religion we are talking about horror films. I'd say Halloween 2 is my favorite. There is nothing creeper than a psychotic man in a white mask who you can't kill walking around a dark hospital at night. I also like the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but the more they made them the more dumb they seemed to be.

Halloween is the scariest movie I have ever watched. That music still gets to me and I won't watch it if I'm alone.

Salems Lot scared me pretty bad when I was a kid but it is kind of silly now.

For being a Christian...you sure do like taking off your clothes a lot. Sand dog will not be happy with you Aayla if you keep trying to take your clothes off. You do know this don't you?

the original fog is good (the john carpenter one),skin

salems lot is good, but i dont like how they pause for the original comercial breaks(when that little kid was gonna bite his brothers neck)..i liked it when geoffrey lewis(from most clint eastwood films, and also juliet lewis' dad)....dug up the kids grave and the little 'nipper'(LOL,see what i did there?)sprung up out of his coffin...scared the shit outta me first time...now im all macho and all,and it dont scare me none

comet:-halloween II...good call,i remember that topless nurse getting into the hot tub as well <3

I say this every time I get asked this question, SCARECROWS film made on a budget, crap acting but scary. The more recent films just go for the gore factor rather than scaring you, I can't think of a film that has been released lately that's scary.

when I was a kid I seen Texas Chainsaw massacre in a small
santa cruz beach theater and they had a guy in the middle of the film
run out all dressed up as leatherface with the chainsaw blairing which
scared the crap out of me . Then also as a kid my aunt took me to the
drive in to watch american werewolf in london and when the coyote 's
howled since there were just fields by the drive in at the time I was scared to leave . I also was scared shitless when I first seen a nightmare on elm
street for the first time and I seen it with my mom and her sister which they were house sitting . This house was in the middle of nowwhere
and if you went outside at night it was pitch dark , I was the only boy
there so I knew the girls were not going to protect me from Freddy .

It would be nice if it was made up of only good memories. Good reasoning. Do you think I could ever be a kid his or her aunt took him or her to the drive in to watch american werewolf in london and when the coyote 's howled since there were just fields by the drive in at the time he or she was scared to leave?

mobeye, your scarecrows budget film reminds me of a great horro from the 80s known as 'The witch'...i think later changed to 'superstition'...or the other way round.....anyhow,that i remember being pretty scary...about an old house next to a pond where they drowned this wtch in olden days or something and she comes out of the pond to kill...if i remember rightly

i just bought a special edition 2 disc nightmare on elm st DVD...and also the box set with 7 elm st movies
