I'm a projectionist, not a babysitter...

Last weekend, Grudge 2 opened in theaters. I refused to screen it, knowing that the movie was going to suck. Well, sadly, to me, I have pretty much watched the whole movie now. This movie draws out all the little teeny boppers who usually try to sneak in to the R rated movies. Opening night, Friday the 13th, I had to spend about 1 hour between 2 showings in the auditorium, babysitting the little turds so that the adults could watch the movie in peace and quiet. Several imps on their phones. Others talking aloud. I even had to shout out over the movie a few times to knock it off or leave the building.
Well, tonight was a little different. We had to keep checking on the movie every 5 minutes to make sure they were staying quiet. After the first complaint, I went in to the auditorium and told everyone that if it didn't stop, we would stop the movie and everyone would have to leave.
Slightly off topic...The box office girl suggested earlier, we should have an olympic event with who can kick out the most people over a period of time. I said it wouldn't be fair with as often as I go in and kick people out.
Now about 25-30 minutes after the first complaint, a second person comes out with the same problem. I go into the auditorium with the 1st assistant manager going to the projector. As soon as he got there, I stepped into view in the auditorium and loudy, over the radio, told him to stop the movie and turn on the lights. I told everyone that with the second complaint, they all get to leave now. There were several older people who got up first and came down to me a bit pissed, but I told them that we would gladly take care of them for the inconvenience that all the little fuckwads caused...not in so many words though. Once the auditorium was cleared out, I had the manager start up the projector motor so that the rest of the movie would play through for the next show. The General Manager came down the hall to where I was talking to all the little pissants and told them that in order to get a refund, he had to talk to all of their parents. Overall, there were only about 6 people that we gladly gave passes to and took care of them. 4 of them even came back and watched the movie again. They were very cool about it and I was so sorry that all the ass monkies ruined it for them. We hooked them up with free drinks and popcorn for the trouble they went through.
So as for the olympic event, I am at 42 in 1 hour and the rest of the staff is at 0. I think we can call it good and I win by default for clearing an entire auditorium at once. A new personal best. Before tonight, the most I ever kicked out at once was 20.
So I recommend, if you go to see the Grudge 2, go during a weekday when all the little jackasses are still in school so that you may be able to enjoy the stupid movie in peace. Yeah, it wasn't a very scary movie. I never jumped or even laughed at it once.

Is this really the last one? How many? How about that. That is very soon. You seem quite eager for it. Right now? What was the response? That was a long time ago. Oh. Where then? Once more? My favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith. Have you seen Revenge of the Sith? When were they? How? Who said you won? Take it easy. It sounded like one.

I'm going to go see Saw3 this weekend and can't wait. I thought the first 2 were great. I can't wait until I see the newest Grudge either.

I recommend renting Grudge 2, Gigi. The movie is so not worth the price you will pay at the theater.

I never saw the first one, thank God. This one is stupid. They left it open for the third. The acting was lame. I never even reacted to the "funny" spots in the movie. It was seriously a waste of film.
