First on the block this time through, The Marine: John Cena is an ex Marine who goes an a trip with his wife. While at a gas station, Diamond theives hijack his car and kidnap his wife. The entire movie, He is trying to track them down and rescue his wife. I have to say, John Cena is not a terrible actor. The story was weak. The acting was bad. The fight scenes were alright though. Over all, I give the movie a thumbs down.
Second movie: Man of the Year: Robin Williams is a comedic talk show host (like John Stewart) who is told that he should run for president. This movie is a lot like Empire... where it is interesting at the beginning and the end and everything in the middle seems slow and almost pointless. Robin Williams is hilarious at multiple points in the movie. I actually thought that some of the stand up he did was actually himself. Kind of predictable story though. I liked it ven though it slows down throughout. I give this movie a thumbs up.
Third movie: Prestige: Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are rival magicians who are Hell-bent on learning each other's tricks and doing them better. This was a very long winded movie. You get the Pulp Fiction effect where they show you a bit of the end of the movie right at the beginning. Now from this point on, up until about the last 20-30 minutes, you are bored out of you skull. The movie has already told you what happens. Who cares about the rest. I even got up in the middle and went outside for a smoke break. The acting was pretty good and the cast was good, but the trailer makes this movie look ever so much better than it really is. I have to give this movie a thumbs down.

We will never die alone. The Carnival will carry on. Swing our hatchets if we must. Each and everyone of us.
