Just as long as it doesn't stop playing the dics I already own.
If my battlefront discs stop working, someone's gonna be hurt!
On a side note... went to a b-day party a week ago, the host had an old PS2 in the basement that all the kiddies were playing. What were they playing? Battlefront II of course! Once my kids figured out the different controller, they just plain owned everyone.
They make me such a proud daddy!

Microsoft Says Xbox 360 Disc Read Problems Caused by Old UpdateYesterday, Kotaku Australia reported that a software update for the Xbox 360 was causing some consoles to stop reading game discs, which Microsoft was addressing in the form of all-new Xbox 360s and free Xbox Live subscriptions.
The original report presumed that the issue was related to the forthcoming software update for Xbox 360 that boosts game disc storage space and introduces new anti-piracy measures. That's not the case, according to Microsoft.
"The console replacement plan that is the subject of some of today's headlines is related to a previous update, NOT the system update that has been in public beta and will be deployed shortly," writes Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb on his blog.
"The new disc format that is part of the beta has been rigorously tested across all Xbox 360 models and there are no known compatibility issues."

Wait a second? When was that old update? I have an old 360 that was made in 2007 that I bought used to go overseas with me, and around December 2010 it just quit reading discs. And not the disc read error message, it just completley ignored any disc I put in by just diplaying the open tray icon on the dashboard. That is why I pulled my 360 Elite out of the closet which was still in it's repair box for almost two years. Only to have it Red Ring on me a few weeks ago. So now my old ass 360 is just sitting in the corner collecting dust. I wonder if I could get another 360 out of Microsoft, after all they got me to go buy a fucking Slim while my Elite went back to the repair shop!
Why am I in the Forums instead of gaming on LIVE?
