some pretty cool things have been announced today from Capcom at their Capcom Day event

okay first off is Dead Rising 2:Off The Record set for Fall 2011

so,Frank West from Dead Rising 1 was not the hero of Dead Rising 2,Chuck was....what would it of been like if Frank WAS the hero of Dead Rising 2?

Quote

- Frank west is back – The original Dead Rising hero returns to get the scoop on the Fortune City outbreak.

- Fortune City but not as you know it – Experience a re-interpretation of the Fortune City outbreak through the eyes and camera of photojournalist Frank West.

- New story and missions unique to Frank West

- New environments

- New enemies and more psychotic Psychos

- New crazy and hilarious combo-weapons

- New items and vehicles

- Say “Cheese!” – Capture those classic, violent, scary, hilarious Dead Rising moments, earn Prestige Points and complete all new missions with Frank’s new and improved camera feature.

- upgraded Experience – Full of technical improvements, system enhancements and feature upgrades to create a faster, smoother, more satisfying Dead Rising.

Quote

Frank's back, baby.

Dead rising 2: Off the Record, sees photojournalist and original hero of Dead Rising’s Willamette incident, Frank West take center stage as players experience a reimagining of the Fortune City outbreak.

The new, “Off the Record” storyline means an all new Dead Rising 2 experience. Frank will face off against more twisted enemies, build more outrageous combo weapons, follow his own unique mission structure and explore brand new areas of Fortune City to get his biggest scoop yet. Frank’s come back means the return of his trusty camera, with players able to earn Prestige Points (PP) for specific photo opportunities that are graded against criteria such as horror, drama, erotica and brutality.

We listened to fans when it came to Dead Rising 2, so in addition to the new scenario and gameplay enhancements, Dead rising 2: Off the Record offers a suite of technical updates including load time optimizations, improved network performance and a host of system upgrades to deliver a more satisfying Dead Rising experience.

this next game i am quite excited for and the one i am most looking forward to,it could be for me what Dragon Age certainly wasn't...a great game
Dragons Dogma is due early 2012,and is set in an open world environment

Quote

• Highly Stylized Action Combat – The creators of this game were responsible for the action hits – Resident Evil® 4 and Devil May Cry® 4.
• Fight With Ability – The soul of combat comes down to how the game is played, where you strike the enemy, and how you react to their attacks.
• Accessible Depth – Bringing an unprecedented level of depth to the action genre, every decision has an effect on gameplay in an intuitive way that does not require micromanagement. The weight of your weapon, the material of your armor – even the length of your legs – plays a role in how you fight your battles, but does not interrupt the flow of the action.
• Epic Adventure – Dragon’s Dogma is built from the ground up as an action experience for consoles with a continuous, epic storyline that stands alone in style, scope and substance.
• Open World – Utilizing Capcom’s proprietary MT Framework engine and the groundbreaking graphical styles and lighting effects used in Resident Evil® 5 and Lost Planet® 2, Dragon’s Dogma expands the environment to create a vast, richly detailed world, ripe for exploration.
• A Rich Population – In addition to interacting with hundreds of fully voiced NPCs, you’ll be able to fight a large variety of creatures, from goblins to griffins and dragons. Each enemy requires a different strategy and provides a unique experience.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

Asuras Wrath

looks to me like this could be a God Of War/Devil May Cry type game,if it is that type of gameplay then its not for me,although the art does look great

Quote

Features
• New type of action game – Asura’s Wrath will seamlessly blend action and narrative and will adopt an episodic nature, more akin to a TV drama series.
• Relentless action – Asura’s Wrath keeps placing gamers in tight situations and says ‘now get out of that.’
• What the…? – Unique enemies and planetary sized bosses will continually challenge players’ expectations.
• Innovative setting and story – Fusing Asian mythology with sci-fi, Asura’s Wrath’s universe will be truly unique.
• Collaboration with CyberConnect2 – Continues Capcom’s strategy of partnering with the best developers to produce titles to complement its own internal projects.

Resident Evil:Operation Raccoon City

so another Resident Evil game due for the 360(as well as the remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code:Veronica)...this is from Slant 6,who were one of the suspects for Star Wars Battlefront III...seems it was this game they were working on

The setting of the Resident Evil universe not only provides a rich backdrop to the action but delivers a unique and thrilling triple threat battle. Zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W’s) add to the mix as players not only compete against their team’s opposing squad but also tackle this third unpredictable element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe, creating a brand new style of gameplay and breaking the conventions of traditional team based shooters.

Quote

With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak. Players take on the role of an Umbrella Security Service soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in up to four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City.

Features:

- Team based shooter set in the dark and sinister Resident Evil universe.

- Triple threat battle as zombies and B.o.w’s add to the action.

- Compete alone in Campaign mode as an umbrella Security Service member or in a four player co-op team battle.

- Rewrite the history of the raccoon City outbreak. revisit classic moments from Resident EvilTM 2 and Resident EvilTM 3 and watch events unfold from the perspective of the umbrella Security Service.

- Return of favorite RE enemies, iconic landmarks and characters, including leon S. Kennedy who is on your hit list to eliminate.

- Competitive online multiplayer modes provide a unique gaming experience thanks to the three corner combat between the umbrella Security Service, uS Special ops and threat of zombies and B.o.w’s.

so why should you care about a resident evil game for the 360 if yo hated Resi 5(like i did)?,well 2 main reasons 1)-this is set in Resident Evil 2 time setting through to Resident Evil 3 time setting(fucking hell Capcom, what do we have to do to get a remake of Resi 2 and 3?)
2)-no more of that Bullshit stopping to shoot, now you can run and shoot...should make gameplay much better, now if only they could remake Resi 5 with that feature

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

what we already know

Resident Evil 4 HD due

Remake of Resi 4 is coming to 360,i say remake but it will be pretty much the same game but with HD graphics etc...so not sure how well the controller will work, for how much i hated the Wii...Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games for the system, even though again it was a remake, originally being on the Cube and PS2..the controls(wiimote and nunchuck) once you got used to them, were perfect..so after i hated Resident Evil 5 on the 360,because of the controls i am weary about this...it being on the PS3 as well with the PS3 being able to use Move controls may be the better bet...but i will be fucked if i am getting a game for the PS3 that is on the 360 :pfft:

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Resident Evil Code:Veronica HD

I have always had this for the PS2,but never got round to it...now i finally can,and get some achievements as well

no real trailer yet,so you get this one

the game will still have '3D' old style controls i have heard(you know, you turn round and then go forward instead of pressing right to go right etc

although i only usually stay with the main series of Resi games, this and the Raccoon City game are going to be exceptions for me,i am looking forward to both
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

most stuff i got was from here
Capcom

So Capcom have quite a year ahead,i am looking forward to Dragons Dogma certainly, the 3 Resi games for the 360(don't want a 3DS so not looking forward to the 3DS resi game),and i guess yes i am looking forward to Dead Rising 2:Off The Record....but i am in two minds now whether i want to go back to the Dead Rising 2 game i currently have
