Trailer to start
So i went and saw Inception and i thought i should do a review
Concept of the film is DiCaprio is part of a team that employed to go into people dreams to usually steal ideas/codes/concepts etc. This time, they are "sent in" to plant an idea into someones mind to split up his Fathers company (who he is about to inherit due to his dads poor health). The challenge is is to make "the mark" think he has come up with that idea by them self which is much harder than just stealing what they know. Dicaprio plays a really solid lead role as per usual (i didnt used to like him but he has been roles late and i have to tip my hat). He is kinda damaged as he's subconscious is riddled with guilt over the death of his wife and she is personified as the kinda saboteur in his jobs
I cant really go into the film as it will give things away as the film is very tight alot of things were very well explained without it getting bogged down with heavy exposition (dying in dream, dream within dreams, 5 mins in realtime is about an hr in a dream).
You do have to be switched on as it is a really good concept with lots of layers. I would recommend this film. I reckons i will treat myself to this on DVD

been wanting to see this film, and shutter island....i am the same as you,i used to not like Leo,prolly because of Titanic, but ever since say....The Gangs Of New York,he has been a pretty solid lead...probably all his Scorcese films(The Departed etc)...he was great as Howard Hughes in The Aviator and good in Spielbergs Catch me if you can
i also wanted to see this film because its Christopher Nolan and it seems he has brought half the cast of Batman Begins over as well....Ken Watanabe,Michael Caine and Cillian Murphy
