So I could sell my elite for $140(3 years old), Throw an extra joytsick for $25 and get a new one for aorund $130 plus tax. Tempting.

however,don't forget that some of this will need your HDD with the console you are taking in...therfor you wont be able to transfer all your shit to the new console and the new HDD

unless,you get half dozen USB sticks,and keep them hanging about until you get the new HDD on the new 360


if i fall for Kinect,then i will get a new 360,so i don't have to plug something else(Kinect) into the wall..but right now i am quite happy with the one i have-in other words,it hasn't fucked up on me yet

I'm guessing you can trade the drive later after the initial download/upload to the new system . They sell transfer kits for $15. I'll call to see how if they would do it.

update: Called the store. The sell the transfer kit for $20, you get 7 days to transfer the drive and bring it back with receipt to get the the credit for drive. The gal didn;'t know if it was for cash or store credit. They did up the price to $50 for the 120GB, buit you get $30 after buying the transfer kit.

Got mine today. Everything transfered and my accounts on the system. Just have to bring my old drive to the store.

Is it Quieter? to a degree, not with a disc in it spinning. It seems to be quieting down the more I play.

I'm still running on the used 360 I bought last year to take with me overseas. Which is still running for some reason. My second time repaired Elite is still in the box somewhere in my closet. Point is, unless the Mrs want's one, I have no intention on buying a Slim anytime soon.

This new 250GB unit is clearly displaying the red dot. That's only half the story.

Apparently, here is the warning message this Xbox 360 is running:

Poon,You don't have to bring the box. Just the cables and pad. I did a dusting and vacuum to it. THey did open the front cover and plugged it in.

My machine keeps sounding quieter and quieter. Especially when you download the disc to the hard dirve. My laptop fan I have on it sucking the air out is louder than when it's on.

i suppose it shutting down is a good failsafe, as long as the fans stay on when it shuts down, otherwise it just gonna sit in its own heat
