I know Oprh mentioned this game and i saw a demo of it on a magazine(I didnt twig at the time that was the game) but didnt think too much more of it
I then got a messga from MorePoints saying that he would pay $60 for this game, then a mate of mine was playing it and he said it the best game on the arcade (even over BF1943)

I was dubious, but i downloaded the demo and i am hooked!!
anyone else playing?

yeah its pretty good,not been back on it since wolfie though,finished Wolfie this morning so i guess i will be back on Shadow Complex tomorrow

right,i have to make a complaint about this game now

1st of all.it isn't pick up and play...i have been away from the game for 2 days and i am struggling with the controls again,learning everything,mainly getting to grips with the aiming again(in towards the screen)

2nd,don't do what i did and when you enter a save room with only one exit(the one you came in)..don't turn it off there and come back later...enemies respawn

i saved it in the save room just after your first FPS encounter on the mounted gun,the mounted gun you have to kill quite a few people,and then you can go to the save room...that's when i turned the game off on Thursday

now,i have come back to the game,walked out of the save room(going left...which is always bad in this game,as its more a left to right shooter,not right to left)and everyone is there again,all respawned...and the guy on the mounted gun as well,because you can't shoot towards the screen(you only shoot down)..the guy on your left(with his back towards the screen) as you are coming out of the door,is impossible to kill(or you have to piss about trying to turn around and face right)...so,because i walk out of that room and there are at least 12 people shooting me,it looks like i am gonna have to restart the game again

aww man that sux, are referring to the bit where you get on the turret and the are those mechs come out the doors? That bit where thare is alot of soil on the ground rather than stell flooring? if it is that bit you should have the "sprint boots" and you could just run right across and get out of there.

I think Shadow Complex is on of those game where it was would be a bit pissed having to restart it, but its such a great game starting again could be avantagous as you have a better knowledge of the area

I havent played the proving grounds, but i know they are acheivement givers, so i will crack on with that. finishe the game yesterday (8 and half hours), i do want go back and try and get all the collectbales

no,no it was nowhere near the time with the sprint boots,it was close to the beginning,the very first time you get on a mounted gun(and it changes to FPS)

i started again and i am right near the end now

 been talking to the main guy on the video screen 'the vice president is dead...why?'...and then he blew up the room and i had to give it legs out of there,collected all my stuff i think for the suit

i am not surprised i got stuck at that save point where the first mounted gun is..when you kill the first lot,a load of other people come out....killed about 30 or so people on the mounted gun,i would never be able to do that coming the other way out of the save room


good thing is that your level carries over(i was only level 7)..and apparently at level 20 the whole map is shown,with all the collectables(doesn't say what the collectables are though)


EDIT:after i have finished it,i may go back to get everything,but i am gonna stick it on easy

 okay 1st- i knew the girl you were with was a little suspecious(just met her in a bar..pfftt),i actually thought however that she was with the bad guys,and that whole 'my legs aint working' was an act...it was near the beginning when you just mentioned the armour,and she started to get a little obsessed with you finding it

2nd-how easy was the final boss compared to others?(played it on normal)..they even gave you a health room in the bottom left that replenishes all your health...used it once or twice

apparently if you collect all 12 golden bars,you have all your weapons at the start of a new game...even the last weapon(that was criminally underused)






i found this one quite enjoyable to fight against,same with the one right at the end as well(which was even easier actually)...just use the foam on its legs then use whichever weapon you wish while he was stuck,and then repeat

however...when i first came up against it,the hint told me to use the hook on its shields on its back,i tried for ages to use my hook on the thing,but nothing was grabbing anywhere..so after dying a few times looking for my hook to grab onto it somewhere...i resorted to the above technique

oh and i tried some of the proving grounds,(i am half way through the second pack..out of 3)..very fucking annoying,they start of easy..then get stupid,don't think i will be trying for all of those

yeah the last boss wasnt a let down as such, but i didnt die once taking it down. I died a good few taking on that that big AT-ST as well thing (i did what you Orph) and when i had to take on 2 of those guys in the "super suits"

I really liked the game i am gonna get all the armour extras and see how many of the extras i can get, still the the "make 'em scream" cheivey as well

apparently for that ST-AT,you had to foam the legs THEN the back lit up to hook....i just thought that was some of my foam where i had missed the legs

I've tried the demo and I can't figure out the controls. I seem to hit things randomly instead of actually aiming at them. Since I've got a lot of other games on my wish list this one might just stay a demo.

wow you have been cheiey staliking! lol. that AT-ST, i foamed his knees (man that sounds wrong!) so it locked it in place, then I just went it in with missles and grenades. he soon went down like a 2bit hooker

actually it was in the leaderboards that i was looking at,shows all your friends it shows like how many people you have punched and how many robot things you have booted etc....funny as my efforts all stop where the achievements stop(so 20 for the booting)..after i got the corrosponding achievements,i just shot that bastards

TBH Penny,the controls, do get some getting used to,when you have though it can be a great game(not including the screaming because your character doesn't jump as you want him to........i think my favourite scream is 'FUCKING GRAB THE LEDGE YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!!',......but there is also another favourite i have,and that's getting so pissed off i stand up,middle of the room,point at the screen and scream 'I BOUGHT YOU,I CAN JUST AS EASILY DELETE YOU OFF MY FUCKING HARD DRIVE...YOU DO AS I SAY!!!!')
