That did look awesome visually. I don't think I can get my wifed to see it with me though. Hopefully "adult cgi/animated" movies can catch on. Maybe this will do it.

this for me is a test for Jim Cameron,he has pretty much fallen into his own Abyss after he made Titanic(mainly because of this film),and Titanic may of won all those awards, but it still didn't feel like the James Cameron we all know and love(T1,T2,Aliens,True Lies,The Abyss etc)
the trailer for this does look fantastic, but it really is a gamble...look at Final Fantasy:The Spirits Within

that looked great, but it nearly ruined SquareSoft,so much that they had to partner up with their one time rivals Enix,to create SquareEnix to stop them going bust
the problem with FF was that it looked great, but the story was pretty slow and boring...the same thing could happen here, thankfully the story doesn't look either slow or boring...but that doesn't mean i will be surprised if this flopped..even now i am undecided whether i wanna see this at the cinema,i like these kind of films better at home on DVD
i went to see Ghost in the shell(which was described as 'if Disney let James Cameron do a cartoon')..i fell alseep at the cinema(a first for me)..on DVD i liked the film much more
Robert Zemeckis is having some success with his CG films,so perhaps this film will be an even more success story
if this film is only on for 80 minutes i will be pissed off,LOL

Yup Bobble, and I'm really hoping M. Night Shyamalan doesn't fuck it up. He always likes putting little twists to movies, but I hope he keeps with the storyline of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Saw Avatar on Friday and I have to say I was impressed with the movie. It had a nice story but what I disliked was that it took so long. I feel the story could have been told in less than 2 and a half hours, more like two hours tops. Effects were good but I didn't like that Sigourney Weaver didn't have a bigger acting role. Now, was Avatar better than District 9? Hell no!!
