well,it had to happen..i have pretty much been on the 360 for like 24 hrs a day for the last 3 months(okay minus 5 hrs for sleep)

last night while playing Fable 2 it froze,with it being a little over 5am i thought that was a good sign to go to bed

this morning it froze again when i started up the game,totally knew what was coming as i rebooted up the 360..and RRoD!!

for what its worth,this is my first RRoD,LOL

August 2006 the disc tray fucked up on me and it had to go back

April 2008 i got the E74 error(that i had to blag the woman on the phone and tell her its RRoD)

i should be okay as my sister is bringing her(my spare one i bought in August 2006) 360 round so i will use that


i have 2 problems though

just last month i transferred all the licenses to this 360(which now i cant do for another 12 months)..so as i have just bought all the Fallout 3 DLC will i still be able to play it on my sisters 360 with my hard drive?(will i always have to be online when playing?,which i am anyway)


second,i bought my 360 december 15th 2005...so er yeah my 3 years is up...but...on one of the past times i sent my 360 back,i didnt get the same 360 back...this 360 that has just gone tits up has a manufactory date of 2007..hee,hee..so i am gonna play dumb tell them not sure when i bought it,but bring it to their attention that the manufactory date is 2007

i think when you call them up to make a arrangements for pick and repairs, you have to tell them the serial number on the console and from there they will know what console it is and its build date etc, so it gonna be whatever there computer say about the console

Also i think you have to register the cosole with MS online (thats what they ask me to day when i mine when tits up)and i think this is done on the Xbox.com site.

What do you mean with regards to licences Orph? With regards to DLC etc, I am pretty sure when you clip your HDD to another console, you might have to recover/resync your gamer profile just to confirm "it's you" and that someone hasnt nicked your HDD/console, after that its business as usual

powerful words...i got my sisters 360,plugged it into my power supply.....3 Red Fucking Lights

seems it was the power supply that was fucked,and in turn went and fucked my sisters 360 as well,i have tried using her power supply and it still comes up with 3 red lights

so,definetly no 360 for a couple of weeks,and it means i have to repeat todays phonecall trying to talk to someone in India..again tomorrow to arrange a coffin for my sisters 360 as well

when stuff like this happens,i have to look toward my personal Athiest God(not only do i not believe in him,but he doesn't even believe in himself...yes,he has THAT much self confidence) and think,that maybe its a sign...to go out and get a job...or maybe start to have James Bond DVD marathon that i have always been promising myself

yeah star wars battlefront is definetly gonna have to happen....although my xbox 1 controller has a broken right trigger...hence why Pogue was owning me all the time on our last stint ;)

there is another thought that has crossed my mind,if it isnt the Power brick.....maybe,somehow its the HDD(as i took that off my 360 to put onto my sisters 360)...but i really can't see how that would affect the power

guess i will find out when i get one of these 360s back and i put the HDD on and it fucks it up again

if that does happen i think it would be wise to buy a new HDD...i still have the transfer cable and disc...but i would be amazed if it was the HDD

if at a pinch i wouldnt be able to transfer the info,then i guess i would have to start again...recovering Gamertag,redownloading important games and DLC...but losisng games saves..which really only GTA4 would be the biggest loss...Fallout 3 i have 39 hrs on current game which is nothing,i could easily replay through that again,LOL

UPDATE:

well,on Tuesday the UPS guy came and picked up my first Xbox360 to take it to Microsoft Repair Centre,which is on Franfurt,Germany..or something like that,so right now the Krauts should be playing on my 360 and testing the shit outta it(i just got an Email saying its arrived)


for the second xbox 360,i am still waiting for the coffin to arrive so i can pack it up and ring UPS to come and get it

while i am waiting for that,every day i try and play on it..this morning was the most succesful..i played Fallout 3 on it for some time,collected 87 ingots out of 100 in The Pitt DLC...got hungry,saved it turned it off...when i came back to it,it froze again..oh well,least i made some progress on fallout 3

it seems to mainly be Online where it faulters...Fable 2 is a no go,as in that shows other peoples orbs who are playing the game,so as soon as i get into the game it freezes..(I was trying to put all my money into Buildings and rent so that i could have a shit load of money when i do finally get my 360 back..i am currently making 80k a day in the game when i don't play)

The Insiders-i tried to download this weeks Insiders(which is a XBOX dashboard thing,kinda like 'Majors Minute')..but straight away it froze and i got the chess board look alike on screen(red and black plaid)


Friends list-takes about 2-3 minutes to appear(when usually it took about a minute)-the Avatars i mean..if i keep scrolling and looking about on the friends list..it freezes

anyway hopefully i will be lucky and i will get my first xbox back in a week or two..and hopefully my second 360 would of been sent off by then as well

the second Xbox 360 still hasnt left,i still havent recieved the coffin..so i rang up Xbox again,and she has had to submit another repair because the first one on that xbox went tits up...so a coffin will be at my house within 3 working days

well atleast progress is being made. bit of a pain have to phone up again enquiring about whats going on with the second (nothing gets my goat more than having to chase some to do the job that they are actually employed to do)

Quick question about "coffins", when mine went tits up, i did get offered a coffin, i had to go out and buy a box to put it in anf the UPs guy came and got it. so i take it they are/were meant to post me a coffin?

oh yes ..definetly,in fact that was the only way the first one got shipped off so quickly because i already had the coffin left over from last time...they should of asked you on the phone,if you have a printer i think they just let you get your own box and print off the details ..not sure,i always say my internet is down when they ask

it comes with the foam inside that you put over the 360 and then place in the box(its quite snug)


i just got an email of UPS saying that it should be back tomorrow(tuesday)somewhere between 9am-5pm...i am out for about 45 minutes in the afternoon,so no doubt i will miss them

okay...got my 360 back today

it isnt my xbox i got back,whether it was beyond repair or they just said 'give him a new one' i dunno

its dated 2009-3-1(not sure if that is our way March or American way January),i had to go through all the set up,like choosing Language etc

so,hopefully with it being a new model i maybe immune to RRoD..but then again i doubt it,hen i was putting it altogether and firing it up i was very nervous,every little stutter,made my heart stop for a second

but anyway,lets use this as an experiment...as its a 2009 machine,we will see if i do get the RRoD or E74..you know i will be playing 24/7 anyway


seems to be okay,i played Fallout 3,spent about an hour looking for the last 2 steel ingots..little silver bastards they are,but i got them in the end

and i put on Fable 2,because from your properties you have bought and that you still earn money while you are offline,when i came back to the game i had earned 300k...so that wasn't bad..i bought a shit load of houses again and then saved it

one thing i have noticed is that i will have to install to HDD again of the games...as i have Fable 2 and Fallout 3 installed to HDD but when i played them they were both being read from disc,i guess its a anti pirate thing with it being a new xbox,i dunno,i will delete the games of my HDD and re-install them later


with it being a new machine i will have to wait until next April to transfer the license's across,as that can only be done every 12 months(which is a con)

i got a free XBL card as well for a free month of XBL...i would rather of had the points,but i guess i could always use that


my sisters 360 is about to be sent back now...and when it comes back i am nicking her xbl free month card as well
