I went and saw this last week, i have been meaning to a do review but as yup may know, i have had my PC in bits for most of this week.
The standard issue trailer
i wont go into the story as you probably know what its all about (its about Logan/Jimmy becomes Wolverine).
The film is good but i was expecting more. It kinda struggles to all hang together. There are holes in the plot line and the film plugs them very weakly, the whole reason behind his decision to have an "Anamantium bath" is a bit thin (crosses and double crosses) is a prime example.
The way the other charatacters are featured feels more like a montage rather than a story. The way they put guys like Gambit in feels unnecessary, we know they have to feature but it feels when you see them, their part fo the plot could have been anyone, as that bit of the story doesnt really give Gambit (for exmaple) a chance to properly shine, it could have been anyone with a "power", its almost like when they were writing it they said "ok we will put an Xman in this bit, we dont know who yet"
another thing that is a bit of let down, is all the action sequences you see in the trailer are all the action sequences and they spectaular but you expect there to be some more.
All in all, its not a bad film, its a good film, but I was expecting this to be one if the biggies this summer, no i can see why its come out b4 the like of Transformers, Star Trek, Terminator etc
6 skintoxications out of 10, but i was hoping this would have been atleast an 8

Yeah, I really liked how they followed the story of Wolverine. I didn't like, however, how they threw Deadpool at the end and made him a 'villain' for the sake of there being a final fight at the end of the movie. Deadpool in the beginning of the movie was Deadpool, the abortion at the end, no.

okay there is gonna be some spoilers here that i haven't put in spoiler tags
i quite enjoyed this film,i was hoping though that they were gonna show how Sabretooth also lost his memories, apparently both don't know they are brothers,so it has never been mentioned,however..even in the comics both were so similar that people believed Sabretooth was Logan's Dad,but S.H.I.E.L.D did an experiment on both Logan and Sabretooth and found out that Sabretooth wasn't Logans Dad
i am wondering about Sabretooth's transformation from this film to the first x-men film, did he let himself go feral?..or perhaps its because he loses his memory as well,i am not up on Sabretooths past

did you stick around until the end of the credits
1st of,it had after the cast credits Stryker being picked up by the Military Police and being arrested on suspicion of murder for that Colonel he killed..with bloody feet,LOL
and then after all the main credits it showed Wolverine in a bar being served by a Japanese girl, and him saying he is drinking to remember..i am wondering if that Japanese girl is infact Mariko,a Japanese girl who Logan falls in love with...but she was supposed to be a noble woman, not really a Barmaid, but perhaps its just a hint that Logan is now in Japan
and convenient that Scott Summers never saw who rescued him from his cell, wonder if he would of acted the same in Xmen 1?
after seeing Deadpool in action i can honestly say i really don't care for a backstory on him and don't wish to see a Deadpool spin off which they are threatening us with..i am much more looking forward to X-Men Origins:Magneto ...i didn't like Gambit either,i think this for both cases is due to the actors playing them

Did you enjoy the Film Orph?
I didnt know that the charater Sabertooth in the 1st film is/was meant to be Woverines Brother, there was nothing that suggested that in the film, I only know about this from it being mentioned here and another friend. Do you thing they tried to shy away from that in the film due to the continuity errors betwen this and the 1st X-men film?

i did enjoy it yeah,i reckon it could of done with more action like you say...but i really loved the two brothers fighting through the Civil War,the first world war,the second world war and then Vietnam
as for Xmen 1 -Sabretooth/Victor Creed has never been known as Wolverine/Logans Brother..ever!!,not in the first film, not in the comics/Marvel Universe...Xmen origins:Wolverine is the first time we find out...and as we found out at the beginning of the flick, they are half brothers(same mother)..the mom had an affair and produced Logan
but how similar they are everyone prolly saw this coming,in the comics,Sabretooth IS wolverines arch enemy, its always a common ground/recurring theme about them two
i would like to find out about Sabretooth now,and why he becomes feral-as he also doesn't speak in Xmen 1
weird Xmen fact of this post:
remember the Juggernaut in xmen 3 played by Vinnie Jones?..well the Juggernaut is actually Professor Xaviers half brother also (Juggernaut used to bully the Professor)
