Seeing as it was directed by the the guy that did 300 and it was based on the Comic/graphic novel, the cinematics just werent there (we were lead to belive differently in the trailers).
You didnt really care who killed the Comedian as he was an asshole anyway. Dr Manhattan walking around with his "popsicle" out in every scene just wasnt needed.
Rorshach (or however you spell his name) was only relief, i thought he was great (the kickings he dished out in prision were awesome). I kept wondering if he was played by the same guy who played the Sherminator in American Pie (evidently it wasnt BTW).
As you know aint aint really a comic book guy, usually i can thread myself into these kinda films quite easily, but this was either shit or i just didnt get "it". Mates of mine who are fans of the comic raved about it, but for a "normal" film goers this will all go over your head

I'm gonna see it, I got free tix to it.
I was too young to really grasp the graphic novel back in the day, I was a marvel boy anyway and DC stuff didn't perk my interest except the Flash and Crisis of Infinite Earths Back in the 80's.

whether thats true or an excuse for Stan Lee not to release it like you said i dunno
i liked Borat,he has a new movie out soon Bruno, the gay reporter who seems hell bent on trying to wind up Americans again,i just saw him actually yesterday in Talladega nights with Will Ferrell,he played the French racing driver
actual comics i never really collected, apart from MAD magazine..i did have issue one of the Termninator comic that came out early 90s prolly just after T2,that was very cool...and i have a hardback books on Xmen and Batman..70s Batman i always liked(in the comics)..when they began starting to make him more dark and mysterious
,instead of that bloody 60s series
