The game was released on September 30, 2008 in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the Microsoft Windows version was released for North, Central and South America on November 6, 2008 exclusively through Valve's Steam digital content delivery service.[1] The game received mixed but generally good reviews from critics, with positive reaction to the graphics, audio and environments, and less favorable reaction to the game's plot and scenario, and some of the gameplay and horror elements; however, overall, reviewers were largely appreciative of the development of a main, home console installment of the franchise by an external Western developer.
Hmmm, might have to see some footage before pursuing this one then.

this seems to be threatening a March-ish release(Res Evil5 clash?), it looks like it will be a great game. things is, it aint really getting the preview colum inchs other games.
Usually in the gaming mags we get bamabrded for months about a game prior to its release, but since its initail insight (back in the summer) we havent heard alot about it atall, which gives me the (uncomfortable) feeling this might be slipping. It seems to be one of those games we are all waiting for, but information seems to be sparse at best. A:CM is one my radar along with Res5 but that about it really. i wanna get L4D when it comes down in price, hopefully there will be some co-oppers around still
Barb, if you are having trouble with the artifacts, the must be walkthrus/hints/cheats online. you could put in the code for the artifact deteactor, that will atleast tell you where it is, then all you have to is works out how to get it

I bought the Knothole island for Fable and was a little disappointed.. Seemed very short. I finished it in one night. I also started finishing up the quests I have outstanding but the archeologist quests are jsut annoying... Do they ever end? It seems to be the same thing over & over and no story to it. I have a few achievements I could get with this but I think I am done here too.
I have Fallout 3 sitting on my shelf waiting to be played...I start my class tonight so I don't know how much time I will be able to put into this.

and one day i will get Fable II again, and get the DLC for that as well..i was quite dissapointed in the length of that game(under 10 hrs and finished)...i was more dissapointed with this one than i was with Fable I,although it was mainly Peter Monre;erktkrlx who made everyone aware of the dissapointment of Fable I for appologising for it..he should say sorry for his lame assed effort on Fable, seems they put more effort into the land than the actual story

man, i need to get stuck into Fallout3, i did a bit over Xmas but i have got much further than the 1st mission (when you take the letter to the dead people), I am earmarking this weekend to get it in the tray.
I am surprised they brought out DLC so soon (GTA has been nearly a year and DLC is only now being rolled out). Fallout3 is big enough itself and will give us "mortal" gamer months of gaming

In a similar manner to the Tranquility Lane section of the main game, Operation Anchorage takes place as a virtual reality "military simulation" and is available for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game. The content focuses on a pivotal event in the Fallout timeline before the Great War took place, namely the attempt by the United States Army to liberate Anchorage from its Chinese Communist invaders and in turn drive the Chinese forces out of Alaska. The pack contains several new quests, a selection of new items, a new perk and adds 4 new achievements. Operation: Anchorage became available on January 27, 2009.
The Pitt
The second pack, titled The Pitt and available for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game, sees the player journey to the industrial raider town located in the remains of Pittsburgh, and is scheduled for release on 1 February 2009.
Broken Steel
Broken Steel, scheduled for release on 1 March 2009 and will be available for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game, sees the player join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all, and continues the adventure past the main quest. This also will raise the level cap from 20 to 30.
