okay i downloaded BF:BC...took 3 hrs!!!(unlike ninja gaiden took 25minutes..oh wait thats right,Americans didnt have that demo then...bastards!!!,lol)

single player is fantastic,i loved it,pretty damn funny and it reminded me of mercenaries for the xbox,sandbox type game.... then i thought,damn theres a headache as i am already buying

anyway,then i tried the multiplayer,the map(Oasis)isnt bad,its pretty large,there are tanks and vehicles...but i just couldnt get into it,like i did COD4 ...of course i will give it another go this weekend,hopefully it will start to rub off onto me...but i think at the moment,i will wait until i have no games to buy to get this

thats the beauty of ordering online from Game.co.uk, Mobeye got CoD4 and a few others from them a day B4 release, so i thought i would give it a go and it paid off (I am hoping my Cloverfield DVD turns up b4 mondays release as well)

BFBC took ages for me as well, had a quick blast, but the controls felt a bit too light and twitchy, and i kept getting killed b4 i saw anyone, also your health doesnt auto recover like it does on CoD4/RB6/GoW etc, so you have to toggle thru your inventry for a health shot, and with the amount of fire thats wizzing past you in this game, it just too fiddly.In its defence I did have it on the normal setting, i will give it another crack on easy. beginning a game in vehicle aint the best way to start off a shooter really....

unless this becomes the next CoD4 (and I do get into it), this it will have to be purchased a bit later down the line as GTA still has loads of mileage in it, i have also bought the racing game GRID, as well as the aforementioned "MetallicOrphan-annoying" Lego Iny J, which looks like another solid installment in the Lego series

ill dl the civ demo as I'm a big fan of civilization...

Okay I played this tonight I noticed purguy was playing it too. I have to say if you're into simulation games youll love this one. I've had every civ game on PC since the first one and have loved how much the series has progressed. Sometimes the cartoony advisors can get annoying. They push each other out of the way as you skip over what they have to say. The demo only allows you to play as 2 civilizations: The Romans and the Egyptians. I think the game has 16 civs you can play as. Obviously because its a demo the progression is sped up. My civ rose pretty fast and steady technologically and I built up a huge army pretty fast. Within the first 20 mins or so I was already lining up riflemen to take on the greeks. I killed the romans pretty fast. I was the egyptians (cleopatra is such a whore). The interface is pretty easy to use which is a relief since it is a PC game normally that is usually quite involved. They removed the worker class from the game and so if you want to build roads you just go to a city click on build road and it will spend the cash to build a road to the city you want. It was pretty decent overall and ill definitely pick this up as its pretty strategic. Would love to play against some of you who are on when it comes time.

Teaching does have it's perks! Starting today, my summer begins. This weekend starts COD4, Test out the BF:BC, I think civ sounds like fun to try. I haven't tinkered with a civ sim since Populous on my Genesis.
