Well, as promised I am gonna a review of the Film Iron Man.
You will have to excuse the fact that i am not affay with the Marvel/comicbook universe, so I will be review this film at "Face Value"
Robert Downey Jr plays womanising, one liner wonder Tony Stark the CEO of Stark Industries "The" Weapons Developement company, on the way back from a successful demonstration in the desert of his Jericho Missle, his convoy (which includes American soliders) is attacked by terrorsists killing everyone but him (with weapons made by Stark Industries).
He has an electro magnet put in his chest which is stopping shapnel pentrating further into his heart and is force to build the Jericho missle for his captors. He doesnt, he modifies the power source for the magnet(which was a car battery) which also inturn also powers his MK1 Iron man suit to escape.
He comes back a changed man, saying that he will not build weapons that kill the people they are meant to protect. Stark Industies then turns against him (hmmm, shades if Brian Osbourne and Oscorp in Spiderman maybe?) Anyways, he continues to develop his suit (with some great sequencies that keeps what could be a dull part of the film interesting). I wont give too must away, but there are some double crosses and a few holes in the plot but you let it go as it is a good film will some great action sequencies (shades of Transformers in the fight scenes).
you do feel they held the film back slighty so it can really get into its stride in Iron Man II and Gwyenth Paltrow (one of the future Mrs Toxicated's) is seriously underused (you bearly see her legs!) as Pepper Potts
All in all, a good film and i thoughly enjoyed it, RDj was brillant, he was the bastard you wanna be but a good guy at the same time.
4 Skintoxications out of 5.
Oh and just to note, stay and watch the all credits as there is a sequence at the end which sows the seeds for Iron Man2

Sounds good. My brother liked the comic better than I did, but I loved his suit. I've been hearing good reivews in many places about it.
RDJR usually does a good job with his acitng. I liked him in Chaplin. He also played a good pric in Wierd Science.

is her name really Pepper Potts?...jeez i knew the Marvel universe had a thing for first names and last starting with the same letter...but they could of done better than pepper potts
anyway, certainly a film i wanna see,but to be honest the next 2-3 months already look solid, with Indy 4,Batman 2(or 6 however you look at it)....Narnia 2(but i aint going to the cinema to watch that)..and that Hancock looks good as well...busy busy times
i do like my Marvel fims though,i have most of them on DVD(even Daredevil and Hulk)

I have always been a big Ironman fan. I have many comic in my collection to vouch for this. They stayed pretty close to the Ironman storyline which is what I had hoped for. I have been waiting for this movie for a long long time and it was well worth the wait. There was even some mentions in the movie for possible sequels. Especially if you stay to watch the ending after all of the end credits. Totally cool!

I did mention the end credit thing in my initial review, the only reason i knew about it was we got to the cinema so early we nearly went in b4 the previous screening had ended and Sam Jacksons' voice is so distinctive, i thought "ah, we need to stick around at the end here"
