Elite Question

So I finally took the plunge and bought an elite, I was after a larger hard drive and what with the recent price drop I went for it. Any way I set up the elite but had to use the old hard drive because I couldn't get the cable until the next day. All was good, then the next day I did the transfer and put the new hard drive on. Fired it up to play some cod4 and noticed a clicking noise which I finally tracked down to the headset, every 10 seconds or so there would be a clicking noise coming from it. I was using the old wireless controller with the old headset plugged in (because the new controller fealt too new, fag I know) When I changed over and used the elite controller the noise stopped. So has anyone experienced this before? What is it? If the old controller isn't compatable in some way with the elite how come it worked fine with the old hard drive? Did we really land on the moon? etc.........

I would first try to reset your old controller first, and let it resink with the elite. In case you don't know where it is it on the top of the controller, next to plug & play adapter. It's very small and took me awhile to find it once.
Why am I in the Forums instead of gaming on LIVE?

i spilt beer on my controller a few weeks ago...and then it wouldnt stop going left in all my games...so i washed it!!!...and that was the end of that controller....
wait, theres a point to all this(apart from dont wash your controller when drunk)...i recently bought a halo 3 controller(it was cheap,so i thought what the hell)..and that wont recharge with the plug and play thing-works fine with batteries, and the actual plug and play cable, but the actual plug and play battery wont recharge...no idea why
wondering now,if i should buy a new plug and play or new controller..or just use rechargeable batteries like i did when i was playing final fantasy 11
controllers are funny like this i guess

not sure whether i should be offended or not at that(thats shows i am getting on,when i dont know whether to be offended at that or not).....you do know thats not me in the avatar?,that gopher looks young and cute, but he's really a little bastard, and quite old now(ask Bill Murray)
and anyway,Mobeye....you live in the UK,you know you only have to be 11years old to get beer nowadays...8 years for a smoke and 11 for a beer,i think they are the official ages,LOL

Was not my intention to offend, I have seen a picture of you that was knocking around on the old BFG site, you look about 10 years old
The only time people mix my age up now adays is to ask to see my bus pass or tell me about the OAP nights at B&Q.

LOL....OAP...i think it was jack dee or lee evans who said calling them old aged pensioners is like telling them they are old 3 times
that picture on BFG site...was taken about 2001 maybe 2002....i was...hmm,...25 or 26 there...for my picture now, just imagine me with more scruffy long hair(still not as long as i would like)and slightly podgier(SP?)...oh and usually unshaven,or to cut a long story short(too late),just imagine a scruffier version of that person
