I've seen from Mad Catz, Pelican and Nyko. Sdl or Pogue or anyone that uses an add-on fan, can you tell us what you guys use and if there are any problems with them.

I've got the Nyko snap on fan for the Elite. I'm very happy with it. I have a electric thermometer on the shelf with the 360 and without the fan after a couple of hours it would read about 83 degrees, with the fan about 10 to 15 degrees cooler, now it's not right behind it but on the side a about 3 inches from the left side (or top if it was stood up) I bought it because my xbox was locking up after some extened playing periods, I say extended, because I have no idea by then cause I'm so sauced. Since I put it on, no lock ups. I took it off just for shit and giggles and the damn thing locked up after about 6 hrs of running. The problem is sometimes when I turn it on one of the Nyko fans make and ungodful noise like it's hitting something, but it goes away after a minute of too. The 360 is noisy anyways. Well that's my experience anyways.
Why am I in the Forums instead of gaming on LIVE?

I picked up the mad catz 4 in one fan at Best Buy. It attaches at the bottom instead of the back. I can feel the difference of heat coming out the back with it off. It's nice that it comes with rechargable batteries and a charger built in. I bought extra NIMH instead of MS's batteries and can use this to charge them.
I don't like that you have to keep it standing for this to work. I may have to cut the remote holder on the left side so Ican lay it down and have the fans get unobstructed air.

When my nieces 360 had a problem I bought one...I think the nyko... but It didn't seem to move a whole lot of air... anyway I was able to get there 360 to work a little but it eventually went down for good and I had to send it off.

I am thinking about buying the Xbox 360 Arcade model since my other one died. I have the hard drive from my old one; will I be able to connect that to the arcade 360? Also are the old Xbox games playable on the Arcade system?

yes you can add your HDD..all xbox's are the same(apart from HDMI on some models)..get an arcade machine stick on your 20gig and it becomes a premium
if you have a HDD attached to any 360,then you can download the update that lets you play backwards compatible games
although i am guessing the game you wanna play backwards compatible will be okay,be warned there are still some titles that wont play(silent hill 2 european version,metal gear solid 2,fatal frame..to name 3...that i have)
BUT WAIT..there is a rumoured price drop on all Xbox models in the U.S in the next few weeks(in time for E3)..try and hold out if you can

Plus don't forget if you try and get online after changing to a different 360 you may run into some online problems. Something about the SN verification on the machine to the xbox live account. I don't know, but I've heard rumblings of it.

They just release da DRM tool that takes care of this problem. I need to do this but I am trying to decide what console to move everything to. The tool doesn't give you any choices. You sign in to xbox.com to start the process and then sign into the xbox you want all the licences tranferred to. I think I might have the same game licensed on 2 consoles... so do both licenses tranfer to the same console?

About the price drop there are a couple of ads floating around that have the Pro version droppping by $50 (349 to 299) here in the US. I think since they are only talking this one and not the other skus that it is because they are discontinuing it and replacing it with ine with a 60 gig hard drive. I guess we will find out at E3
