30 days of night. Has anyone heard anything about this good or bad? I have only seen one trailer for this and was tempted to go see it when it opens. The wife wont come and see it she says these types of film are silly (I know it's cause she's scared really), so if I have to be the sad old bloke who goes to the pictures by himself, then I wanted to make sure it was worth my while.

Seeing as this is an older topic and I finally saw this last night I thought you'd like to know about this. Its coming out on video here in the states this week but damn was it crazy. The vampires move pretty damned fast and are like on steroids. For some reason the head vampire wears a suit along with several others even though they get the suits all bloody seems like a waste of a suit. I wonder if they ever get them dry cleaned. Anyway takes place in a small alaska town that every year gets cut off from the rest of Alaska and is under 30 days of night. Shit I'd hate living there must be depressing how would you be able to do anything with 30 days of night. Anyway smart vampires. They cut off all the utilities first including the phone, internet, gas lines, then power. They go house to house either eating everything or turning people. It's pretty bloody as a movie and in several scenes Josh Hartnet has to cut some heads off he does it to several people including his friends that turn.
Some parts I'm surprised didn't get those crazy whack job censors panties in a bunch over. They had a like vampire that was a tiny little girl and they end up lopping her head off. All in all it was a pretty good vampire movie much better than some big budget let down like dracula 2000 or something. Its a pretty good movie to check out though.
