Okay, now that you are reading this Orph (hehe, doubt anyone else has a PSP) check this out. Mind you the PSP is initially bricked.
You can read more on http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/24/todays-m...psp-unbricking/
BTW Pogue, sorry if I posted this where I wasn't supposed to; just couldn't find a place to put Sony or Nintendo stuff.

Yay, if anyone else was to have a PSP I thought it would be you Skin. I also usually use my PSP for watching movies on it but I also play old PS1 games on it and also running some emu's for NES, SNES, GBA, etc roms. Well, what happened to that PSP there was that it got bricked, meaning that the firmware was messed up and basically could only be used as a paper weight. Whenever Sony updates its PSP firmware those with hacked PSPs have to wait till someone puts a firmware out that will unbrick their system. This little device, which is a battery pack, reverts to the very friendly for hackers 1.5 firmware. Once you have that firmware you can get updates for the new games from homebrew sites that will make the game think you have the latest update but still use 1.5 firmware (think it's 3.52M3 or 4). Of course, we are talking about backup games you "own", hehe.

Skin prolly knows more than me,the only thing i do really is convert my downloads(game vids, funny vids, porn you name it)...with PSPvideo 9 and then i connect it to my PS3 and put it on that hard drive
yesterday though,i found out that the crash bandicoot 1 game i bought from the playstation store to play on my PS3,can be copied to the PSP (just stick a USB to the PSP to PS3)to play on there as well......doesnt look that good though, the screen is too small for the PSP's widescreen...if they could fix that and then release some classic PS1 games, like silent hill or final fantasy 7..my god,i could actually use my PSP for games!!

The best part about hacked psp's is the ability to download psp games and playing them from your memory stick. You don't have to buy ps1 games to play them on your psp, you can dl ps1 isos and convert them to eboots and play them on your psp but you have to have a custom fw.

Hell yeah; totally forgot about my fellow pirate Badazz. BTW, do you know of a better program than IceTea? Been looking and haven't found one easier or faster yet; just wondering if you found something better out there.

I have never used icetea, I used popstation to convert to eboots. Its been a while since I used it so I am not sure what the latest version is but it works great.

Yeah, used popstation before but went with IceTea for its ease of use and mostly the lower cpu usage.
