apparently,some people on the cod4 forums sick of waiting for the eurogamer code just signed up for the gamespot one and got the 25digit code staright away....i tried and just got another confirmation email

okay,i got my code

this is how i did it

i went here


i was already a member of gamespot(not a paid member.im not crazy)

and then i agreed to its terms,they gave me the key to add to cod4beta.co.uk,and they sent me the email i got from eurogamers...as i said...anyway,i wasnt getting any emails giving me the 25 digit code...so i clicked on that page above again,and again agreed to its terms and clicked submit

and there was my 25 digit code


gonna download now...hope you guys all get in


and it seems people who did the game and eurogamer onestill havent had any codes sent to them


EDIT:its 995 mb...and its downloading at a decent speed(its 6% now)...which took about 2 minutes,so faster than most downloads of that size from xbox live

you put it in the redeem code part on the marketplace blade

the download took me about 35-30minutes to do




anyway....apparently you cant get into any matches at the moment

why?.....because of that stupid maintanance today that has fucked up all our NAT(its been ste to strict...MS are currently working on correcting it)

i swear there is always some fuck up when they do maintanance

With the NAT problem all I did was reset my router/modem and it sorted itself out.

I am buggered if I am gonna reset my Router Modem. I have a wireless network serving 2 PCs and as well as my 360. Getting all the IPs sorted, then encrypting it and doing the port forwarding to open my NAT settings the 1st time was fun and games to say the least. I will check my settings this evening see if they have reverted to back to Open.

Well after thoroughly invesigating the COD4 Beta last night, gotta be said, the menu screen looks fracking sweets!!!!

yeah i think it was an issue but not the main one,as my NAT was open,and i dont have a router and i still couldnt get in games


apperently its all fixed now,so hopefullyi can get to play some today

this game is fantastic

the graphics are great as well,really add a sense of realism,the controls are slick and you can just pick up and play

in the beta,there are 3 maps,and all are good maps and a decent size,i have been playing for about 2 hrs and i have made rank10(sergeant),when you rank up you unlock things,and objectives...things like being able to take out your pistol and shoot when you have been brought down...infer red dot sights,when in game if you get say a streak you maybe able to unlock being able to call for a missile strike,or being able to activate your radar so you can spot where other players are

i am really looking forward to the games release,i just hope we have a decent amount of maps


vehicles-apparently there aren't any(apart from a helicopter,if you get a long enough killing streak)...i heard that there wont be any in the retail either,but it maybe included in a later download...and even though the maps are a decent size,i dont think they are big enough to accommodate jeeps or tanks etc



the game only has 12 people max in it,yet it does have a few game modes(i only played team deathmatch),and some other 3vs3 or 4vs 4 games,it also supports clans

so anyone trying to get into this beta and have not succeded yet,keep trying,its worth it

Well I finally got my code. I signed up for this ages ago at charlie oscar thingy but didnt get a code, signed up at game didn't get a code and finally went to gamespot and still didnt get a code. Joined gamespot again with a different email address did the double tap on the submit button and bang there was my code. The system is sure screwed up. ;)

well,i have been playing for about 4hrs...i have ranked up to the level 16 cap(its actually level 16 and 1049 xp)

lets talk helicoptors

i finally got it(i think it was done by having a 7 kill streak)...and it said deploy helicoptor..which i did

and i was waiting around for it,but it never came to me,then i realised that i was getting kills for nothing


it seems that when you deploy it,it goes around the map at random shooting bad guys from the air,while you are still on the gorund making your own kills....so you get your kills and the helicoptor kills...until the helicoptor is brought down


so,its not really a vehicle you can ride


and sorry pogue(or pissed off at billy) that you havent got your xbox...how much longer is it until itsback in your hands?

and i would still try for the beta code to put in for when its back with you,as the full game isnt out until november,so thats nearly two months away

It just went out to the repair center on thursday so im proper right fucked until then. It took a week for them to send me my box so now its going to be probably another month or so until I get it so sad was really getting into vegas. Barb bring me a spare xbox 360 from queens

I got my Eurogamer code as well and its welcome to anyone who wants it, but isnt the code assigned to your gamertag? as they do ask you to enter it when you sign up. so isnt the key sort of attached

I got the code from Orphan and it was downloading before I went to work.. it was at 30something%... so, maybe it will work....

not sure about that skin,maybe...i do know that people were supposedly getting banned last week becasue UK gamers was getting into U.S. beta...but major nelson said that was bollocks

if it was connected to my gamertag,perhaps they would of cottened on that i already had a code

True, i was just wondering, I wouldnt want to see you and Bobble get in touble with Microsoft in a "Beta-Gate" affair. I know Orph has previous with MS over the "Chip-Gate" incident with Halo2 so he could already be on their radar already :D

Seriously, if Bobble downloads it using Orphs' Beta key and there is no problems, then anyone is welcome to mine (said that a few times! :o )
