Ok, now this is going to be fun...
Grindhouse is a double feature...2 movies...

The first movie...Planet Terror...is about a military experiment that gets out into the air and cause people to become like zombies...not actually zombies though. A select few people are fighting for their lives to get away when they are taken captive and imprisoned by the military, led by Bruce Willis.

The 2nd movie...Death Proof...is about a stunt man who has a car that is 100% death proof for the driver. He goes around killing a bunch of girls with his car, but in the process, some of his victims decide to return the favor. This film stars Kurt Russell.

Overall, I laughed my ass off, was grossed out and had a lot of trouble eating my food. I totally give this movie 2 thumbs up.

Things to keep in mind when seeing this movie:
It was made to resemble 70's Action and Horror films that have played countless times...therefore...scratches, focusing, sprocket damage (picture jumping), burnt film (picture melts away) and fake previews before each film. The print was designed to look like this. There is nothing wrong with the print, so you do not need to let a manager/employee know that the print is messed up. If there is a real problem with the print, the projectionist will already know and be fixing it immediately.

Also, including the real previews, this movie is about 3 hours and 25 minutes long. Pay attention to the previews, as they are referenced in the actual movies.

3 1/2 HRS! Well that's one movie I'll have to wait for to come out on DVD. Actually the only way I can sit for over 3 hours is if I'm playing BF2.

i have had my eye on this(these)film since first seeing the lobby style cards for it some time last year.

but at 3 and a half hours,i may wait for DVD as well...i have all the other quinten tarentino and rodriguez films,so this will go well next to them

i just heard that both sin city 2 and sin city 3 are to be released in 2008,so it looks as though they are making both at the same time(just like..back to the future 2 and 3 ,matrix 2 and 3)

i was gonna say pirates, but as they are a year apart for release dates,i thought not to say, although i did read somewhere they were filmed together...but kieth richards part was definetly seperate as he 'fell' out of a tree, just before he was due to filmLOL

as for LOTR,i know that they did all THREE films at once,so that one didnt count

I heard that too, about Pirates 4 but was told that 1 of the main characters will not be doing it. Not sure who yet.

kiera knightly said that number 3 would be her last one(but who knows how she would be ,to quote huey lewis the power of [s:96cc02fb41]love[/s:96cc02fb41] money is a powerful thing'')...

johnny depp, famously said a few years back that he would never make a sequel to any of his films, when pressed about this because of pirates 2 and 3,he quite simply said that he loves the character, and would love to play him in even more sequels

as for grindhouse, how is this filmed,i mean..is it black and white like sin city or wierd looking like 300?...does it have its own look?

Corphan its weird its filmed like it was made in the 70s but has like a 00's feel. Characters have cell phones etc. The film has that old projector used look as you see artifact on the film reels. There's a missing reel scene where it jumps like 20 minutes further in the movie. There's a part where it looks like the projector ate the reel and the film gets messed up. There's a part where the film skips a bit and repeats a few lines.

Bad news I heard though about Europe. They're going to split up the two films and play them as Grindhouse: Planet Terror and Grindhouse: Death Proof. This means they're going to fuck you and make you pay twice for seeing both movies

lol,is the reel filled with 'cigerette burns'?

actually the reels at my local cinema, have them still

and as long as they dont split the DVD then thats fine

and i may actually go and see them at the cinema as two seperate films, then i have a choice of when i have the time to watch them

That would be hard to do since the credits for Planet Terror don't run until after Death Proof.

It's Hollywood, I'm sure they can make it happen. (Just like Marilyn Monroe's death)
