on a slightly different note, I dunno if its just me, but there seem to be so a many games out that all the mags say, this game is gonna be awesome, that game is gonna be awesome, but for me no games seems to really turn my head, nothing seems to have any sustainability and everything seems to be over exposed. i mean i bought a mag today and it must be the 3rd mag i have bought (and i dont buy 360 mags often) that had GoW Walkthru/guide/special feature....Come on! GoW is what, 3-4months old? anyone that has got it has completed it and anyone that hasnt got is probably sick to death of seeing Fenix's face on every cover.

Halo3, aint out for another 10 months and its on every cover of every 360 mag...I am sick of the game B4 i have even played it.
Every game seems to just be over so exposed and is made to be look like the best thing since sliced bread and then when it does come out I am undoubtably let down, because its just a game. Even i am getting fed up with seeing GoW everywhere and that is my favourite game by miles.

I dunno whether it because gaming is so big now along with these truly amazing machines we have at our disposal, but I think we are maybe being spoilt..or myabe, for me atleast, no game is worth £45, i know they are coming down in price now, but I never feel i get the bangs for my buck and anything that does deliver, ends up being over exposed and pushes me away anyways.

What happened to the good ol' days of Sega/Nintendo/Super NES?? Those games were the bomb diggity and you could play the same game for years! I think we're too spoiled with extremely good graphics but no substance of a story. That's why I'd play the Halo single player modes, but never the online play. Halo 1 & 2 had extremely awesome stories to them, I could play them all the time. But never the online part of the game.

I wish there was a way to play ALL of those old games via Xbox Live :P Now that, my friends, would be awesome.

Its called the Godzilla effect Skin Collector. I remember when I was younger how much they hyped the Godzilla movie it was everywhere, commercials for taco bell, on buses, in magazines, commercials it was insane. They spent so much money hyping it that by the time it came out people were sick of it and the movie bombed.

okay,i have just downloaded this demo,took two hours,LOL...its 1.24 gig,and with everyman and his dog downloading it at the same time,thats why it was so long to download

the game is pretty good,took a few minutes to get it together and figure what the fuck was going on,the streets are pretty chaotic...but its a pretty tight game...decent difficulty(i had it on tough...the easier of the 3 difficulty levels)

the city is pretty well detailed and really big,and thats just the part where you play inthe demo,the whole map looks massive(prolly not san andreas massive,but still big)

the story is,is that you are a cop,and as said the streets are kinda in riots,with gangs popping up everywhere,you are not alone though,there are plenty of other cops about

you level up,so to speak by shooting the bad guys,you get orbs from them and they automatically zoom to you when you have killed someone,after killing a few dozen i levelled twice,and my shooting became much better,i am only guessing that your athletics will improve as well(as you cant jump as far as you can on the trailers)

there are quite a few characters to choose from as well....maybe 8 or 9...not sure what if anything the difference is,no doubt there will be

you start off in the police station,if you want to call it that,in the garage and you can choose your vehicle....2 seater,4 wheel drive etc...then you drive out of the garage ,jumping out,like the batmobile exiting the batcave,the driving wasnt that bad,but i kept trying to angle the camera so i could actually see if anything was in front of me...hopefully i will get more used to that as time goes by...anyway i soon ditched the car..and proceeded on foot

there are a number of obsticles(SP?)you can pick up and throw...cant really say i tried it that many times though...i had a gun!!!

seems the main aim of the game is to liberate the police supply depos scattered throughout town that have been taken over by the gangs...then there is like an easy way of getting around the town through the depos

the gangs are indicated by what looks like a big yellow P...which in my mind stands for PUNK...(make my day,LOL)

and when you die,if you die,you regenerate at a supply depot...that you have liberated,the chief talks to you though ...i dunno,walkie talkie or ear piece..and says something about its okay if you die because you have clones...yeah whatever george lucas!!

plenty of weapons to pick up when the enemy has been killed,and then if you take that weapon to a supply depot,it will become a choice of weapon later on

anyway,i am enjoying the demo,and look forward to buying it

I downloaded it, it seems ok, wasnt knocked on my arse by the graphics (the yard stick for me is GoW)
The concept of the game seems to take the GTA theme (which I aint a big fan of anyway) and then add a futuristic angle, the upgrade your power as your progress thru the game was good, (I did 2 upgrades as well).
Never thought i would say this but, the left trigger auto aim feels like a coop out, as when you see bad guys, you glue down the left trigger and it selects a guy and you just blast away till yuo drop him then repeat, I dunno if this is required more as the game get more intense.
Well, my opinon from what i have seen of the Demo
its alright.
Is it worth 40ish quid?
